Pumpkinseed Oil, also called “The Green Gold”, First produced in Austria during the seventeenth century, pumpkin seed oil is made by expeller-pressing toasted, hulled pumpkin seeds to extract the rich tocopherols (antioxidants), essential fatty acids, and trace minerals that give it anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

This oil has been used by the people of Central America on everything from infections to sprains and Chinese and Indian medicine as a treatment for baldness.

The success of pumpkin seed oil in the fight against hair loss is largely due to its anti-inflammatory components, including tocopherols and linoleic acid. While it is loaded with important nutrients and minerals, pumpkin seed oil is thought to be particularly beneficial for men and women experiencing hair loss because of its ability to inhibit the

expression of the second type of hair loss 5α-reductase as a result of inflammation.
